What is SPEEDROT?
SPEEDROT is a free browser game made of 5-second microgames. Each one shouts a command like DODGE! or SLICE!, you have about five seconds to do it, and the run keeps getting faster. You have four brain cells: fail a game and you lose one.
Is SPEEDROT free?
Yes. Every mode and every reward is free. There are no purchases, no loot boxes and no paid random rewards. Aura, skins and titles come only from playing.
Do I need to download anything?
No. SPEEDROT runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers. If you like, you can add it to your home screen from your browser's menu, and it will open like an app and work offline.
What is ROT AI?
ROT AI is SPEEDROT's game-making AI. It turns a sentence into a real game, directs Theme Runs of ten games, and writes a roast of your run called the Rot Report. When it is busy, an offline chef built into the game takes over.
How do I make my own game?
Open Create and type one sentence, like “catch falling pizza but not the bones”. ROT AI builds the game, bots test it, and you can play it, tweak it, share a link or post it to the Scroll.
Is SPEEDROT safe for kids?
SPEEDROT is made for players 13 and up. There is no chat and no private messages. All text and emoji are filtered, community games are checked by our server, and three reports hide a game. There is nothing to buy.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest and your progress is saved on your device. A free account keeps your progress safe across devices.
How do you stop cheating on the leaderboard?
Every Daily and Royale run is recorded as a list of inputs. The server plays the whole run again from that recording and keeps the score it gets, so claimed scores that did not really happen do not count.
Why did the game suddenly get faster?
Every five wins in a Rot Run the speed goes up, and every 15th game is a boss fight. That is the point: see how far you can get.
Can I play offline?
Yes, once the game has loaded one time. The Daily leaderboard, Royale opponents, the Scroll and ROT AI need a connection; everything else works offline.
How do I report a game?
Tap the report button on any game in the Scroll. Three reports hide a game until we review it. You can also email support@speedrot.com.
How do I delete my data?
Guest progress lives only on your device: clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it. If you have an account, you can delete it and everything in it from the Me tab, or email support@speedrot.com.
Which devices does SPEEDROT work on?
Any modern browser: Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac and Chromebook.
